Vertical Skills is run by Ben Bryant, 14 years service in Army, highly qualified outdoor instructor and currently operations manager at Soldier Development Wing, Halton. We have been successfully running AT for Cadets and regular Army for years. Staying at Halton, Warcop, Inskip, Wathgil camps are great bases for you to get to some fantastic activities in. We are very experienced in delivering AT and have many happy returning customers year after year.
Activities
Our activities include:
We are perfectly located in Ingleton, all the activities are on our doorstep so once with us, further travelling is minimal. If you don't see an activity you had in mind or would like to add something from another centre like sailing, we can work our program around existing plans. Our activities can be delivered in other locations such as the Lake District or Peak District.
We are fully insured, hold an AALA license. Our instructors are highly experienced, fully qualified, hold first aid, and DBS. Our team regularly work with the MOD and are well rehearsed in the aims of AT. Our equipment is all high quality, in excellent condition and well looked after. We are also on the MOD approved provider list for adventure training.
If you have a very book a large group looking to book in we regularly use additional venues, so we can offer big indoor spaces for meet ad greet, to change, use toilets and somewhere to meet for lunch.
PRICES
Prices depend on number of participants and location but range from £45pp - £80pp.
Some activities lend themselves well to doing two activities on one day and others are best as just a full day activity. We can guide you through the options and help you get the most out of your training package.

Old school BunkHouse
Stay with us at our group accommodation in the Yorkshire dales National Park. 3500 caves on the doorstep, on the Yorkshire Three peaks challenge route, Canyoning, Ghyll scrambling, climbing and abseiling less than 10 minute drive away!
The Old School Bunkhouse, accommodation for upto 26 people is situated 4.5 miles from Ingleton in Yorkshire Dales Limestone country, at the foot of Ingleborough and Whernside, with superb views of both Inglebrough and Whernside.
The property comprises of lounge, dining room/kitchen, drying room, 6 bedrooms fitted with bunk beds in each. There are 4 shower rooms with hand basins and toilets. The kitchen is well equipped to cater for 26. There is also a car park attached with space for approximately 10 cars. Fully central heated and Free Wifi.
Bedding
Pillow and case, bottom sheet provided. Duvets and covers can be hired at £5 per person. You need to bring a towel.
Vertical Skills Mini Bunkhouse
Stay with us at vertical skills very own mini bunk house. Perfectly located in the centre of Ingleton, just opposite our adventure base. Our mini bunk house is excellently presented, well equipped for self catering. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, freelance instructors wanting to stay over for work, families looking for adventure and groups of friends. Always booked on a sole occupancy basis so you get the whole place to yourselves. Great for self-catering or even better go and enjoy all the local places to eat and drink within walking distance. Furry friends welcome.

£35pp minimum 2 people required to book Includes - Bedding and towel.
Furry Friends welcome £10 per stay
At our mini bunkhouse in Ingleton you will receive full bedding, including duvet and a towel, Hand towel, toilet roll, cleaning products, washing up liquid, dish washer tablets, tea towels, sponge and cloth. And as you would expect as a self catering place all the things you need for cooking. There is a large smart Tv and free wifi. Always booked on a sole occupancy basis.

Downstairs: Well equipped kitchen dinner (Oven, hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, brew kit, cleaning and washing up provisions. WC, washbasin and cloak room
Upstairs: Two bedrooms, bunk bed in each with full bedding and towel. One bedroom with mini lounge, 40”TV, free wifi. Private bathroom with shower, toilet and wash basin, toilet roll included.
Fully central heated, cleaning equipment and products available.
